well ever since i was just a little girl i have dreamed of being a trainer at sea world and i was wondering?
what it will take for me to become just that. I really have looked into going to hawaii pacific university to take marine biology and since it is near a beach i can swim everyday to get good swimming skills. So is there anything else that i will need to take in college for this? I plan on giving all that it takes to become this it has been my life dream and will strive my best to become the best person to be a whale trainer at Sea World or any water park. Thank you for any help that i can get.

I’m going to give you a link to info from the Sea World careers site that may help you plan out your path. Look into the types of jobs you think you might want, and see what sorts of education is required. Then get that education.
Also, if you have a marine park near you, see if you can make an appointment to speak with someone in their HR department about what’s typically needed there, and what education is required. In fact, see if you can volunteer there, now, while you’re still in high school. That way, you’ll get exposure to your field.
If there’s no marine park near you, volunteer at any local zoo that has any sort of marine wildlife at it.
Good luck!
How many Christians here under estimated the pain and difficulty of the Christian life?
I never thought being a Christian would be a walk in the park, but I never ever came close to anticipating the level of pain and suffering I have experienced as a Christian. It’s been constantly heart ache and pain for me. And even at that level, it’s nothing compared to what some Christian missionaries and martyrs over sea’s have experienced. Thanks in advance for your answers. God bless.
Interesting..
I’m sorry it feels that way. =(
You have my sympathy.
*Hugs*.
..Personally I’m an atheist + a former Christian, but I never really had to suffer through *that* much heartbreak. (Christianity-related heartbreak, that is.) I guess it depends on WHAT exactly one believes, how much emphasis one places on things such as hell and one’s own innate "sinfulness", etc..
May I ask WHY it is that you find it so difficult?
You won’t have to answer if you don’t want to, but you got me somewhat curious, so..
Whats the point in life?
We gwt up every morning at 8 eat breakfast go to work so we can earn money to buy us food to keep us alive eat dinner then go to bed 5 days a week. Then its the weekend go down to the shops come back home enjoy the things you have brought and go to bed then to wak up knowing you have to go to work again. I belive life is a pointless cycle we go threw just to live so whats the point init? i know many people will say oh enjoy yourself but so what im workin 2 enjoy myself at a theme park for 5 hours n den it off 2 work again and unless i win £100000000 prize draw you cant just take it easy for the rest of your life. Why should other people get famous and live full rich lives or win the lottery when everyone is supposed to be equal? What makes other people so special they should be the lucky ones? I belive that its more likley for alins to be in exsistance or that when you are dead thats it and your dead, something i cant imagine is a being on the top of the cloud with some gates letting me into heaven, if god has lived forever how would there be gates up there gates didnt exsist when man only became in exsistance, and if jesus was real why isnt he coming back and helpin spread the message on how to stop cotastrophes? Also my dog doesen’t belive in god and neither does any other animal what makes humans so special that we are the only species on earth to know about god why doesent one of gods angels visit my dog and tell him what what? I dont see the point in life unfortunatly we are mutated bacteria from the first form of life algae in the sea which formed from a chnage in the athmosphere when the volcanos let out all the fumes they did and let out a lot of water vapor which formed the sea. We evolved to become what we are so what stops a cat slowly evolving to become more intelligent than a human any species is capable of doing it. Our world is now so materialistic its pointless living we are meant to be able to hunt for our own food and live in the wild instead we are working 5days a week every week of our lived to buy the same thing but in a packet and a few clothes and entertainment features to entertain n make us look good 1/3 of the time we are not at work whats the point? Biologicly we are only here to pass on our genes and whats the point in that if our kids will just be in the same loop? Please put me at peace and answer this!
meh, human life is big as well….look at it this way.
sub atomic particles are significantly smaller than you are. imagine even trying to go smaller than that, ending up in other realm of energies and paradoxical and infinite divisions of atomic and molecular constructs that interacts to make your person. suddenly you seem to be as big as the cosmos. you don’t have the same cells you did 10 years ago… they were all recycled and renewed, but your person didn’t disappear.
humans have transcended their existence by the mere fact of becoming aware. yes we die and what not, but that’s only complex biochemical reactions, part of you. death is sad, but it isn’t necessarily a bad thing. but in that ephemeral moment of your existence, you are sentient enough to influence your surroundings according to your will. moving an arm is taken for granted but this exercise requires use of mechanical forces taking their fuel from metabolic pathways and electrical pulses racing through nerve connections. you see this as mundane, but i think this is a superpower, on par with telekinesis. a superpower that can be explained by laws of physics and biochemistry, but a superpower nonetheless. but i’m only talking about moving an arm, how about thinking abstractly, discovering new technologies, having emotions, bonding with other living entities. we see this as mundane and we take it for granted… but we have no idea.
even microbial entities and rocks are taken for granted. but they are manifestation of atomic and molecules interactions and energy fields that go beyond quantum mechanics.
i am an atheist, i find that studying and understanding the natural world is another kind of spiritual experience. and because everything in the universe is so intellectually satisfying, i’ve found my meaning in life. BE HUMAN AND LIVE IN THIS AMAZING UNIVERSE.

Has anyone been to Xcaret in cozumel ,mexico?
During our cruise we are planning on doing the Xcaret excursion.. WE have researched it online.. but i would like to get the opinion of the park by someone who has been there..
How much? Do you really swim with different sea life. Anything you can tell me about it will be appreciated. thanks
I went to Xcaret and would only give it an "okay" rating. The swimming with the dolphins costs a lot extra and is a very short time. Swimming in the underground river amounted to floating in a life jacket in semidarkness in pretty chilly water. Nothing to really see while do it.
I would not call it an ecological park. It is an attempt to get tourists to spend a lot of money for a day that would be better spent elsewhere.
Instead of Xcaret, I would recommend spending the day at Chakkanaab Park in Cozumel. It is a state park that has wonderful snorkeling on a close-in reef with a lot of fish of different kind. On shore, it is a tropical garden with lots of huge iguanas all over the place. It is a lot better and less expensive than Xcaret.
things a kid can do in oahu in early october and which luau to go to?
We are going for 7 days with our 2 year old (she will be 2 1/2 then) wanted to know of anything other then the zoo, amusement parks and the beach to do with her. i know shes young and theres less things for her to do. but an idea would be a great. we are already swimming with the dolphins at sea life.
and
whats the best moderate priced luau to go to?
Agree with Trailblazer above. Your hotel can also give you some recommendations and sometimes may have a discounted rate/shuttles to sites/luaus, etc.
