A Hawaiian vacation! How much?

I am thinking about surprising my fiances with a trip to hawaii for our honeymoon. I have looked at travel sites but I don’t know what is a scam, what is good, etc. I would rather find a nice resort. Does anyone know how much it will cost? Also, if you have gone to hawaii and enjoyed a particular place I would love to hear about it.

I think Maui is the best island for honeymooners in Hawaii. It is more secluded and more romantic. It can also be slightly more expensive, but worth it if you can swing it.

Honolulu/Waikiki Beach can be cheaper but it is more "touristy" and has a lot more tourist to make for a romantic getaway. There are some great tourist spots there though like Pearl Harbor, but on a honeymoon, that may not be important to you.

Check out a few pictures and read a few reviews about the top Hawaii destinations for honeymooners and you should find the perfect match for your trip. There are plenty of great resorts in Hawaii for your enjoyment.

Oh, I highly recommend a nice spa treatment on the beach during your trip. Heavenly!!

"A nice resort" is kind of vague. There are some nice resorts that cost $100/night and there are some resorts that charge $1,000 per night. You have to figure out how much you’d like to spend on lodging. You’ll also have to figure out which island you’d like to go to since they’re not all the same.

I suggest you check the Hawaii tourism board’s site: http://www.gohawaii.com/, check out trip advisor for reviews and go to their forums to ask questions. I’ll bet that you’ll find better answers there than would ever find here.

Nice resorts is a bit vague. Do you want to stay on Oahu or Maui or one of the other islands?

this much I know, airfare will cost you at least $800 per person.
Also, alot of everyday items will cost much more than usual since everything has to be shipped in.

I would suspect you’d need at least $3500.
