What is the best Hawaiian Island for a vacation?
IN your opinion…Which of the Islands in Hawaii is the most beautiful, has lots to do and great places to stay?
go to kauai, its the most gorgeous of all the islands and has little tourism. Oahu is way to crowded. Maui is in between oahu and kauai tourism wise and molokai and lanai are beach limited but very low tourism and friendly people. It all depends on what your looking for. Surfing= oahu parasailing, snorkeling, medium tourism with some tropical rainforests, semi crowded beaches= maui. Lots of rainforests and beaches with low key tourism= kauai. hope this helps
I’ve been to Oahu and Maui they are both beautiful. Oahu is fun, I stayed in Waikiki. It had great places to stay, and lots to do, however it is too crowded for me, lots of traffic. Although when I went there it was December (if that makes a difference). Maui was not as crowded, it was relaxing (for me) and also had great places to stay. I imagine the Big Island is a great place to visit and take a helicopter ride to see the volcanoe; but I haven’t been to that island so don’t quote me
Good Luck!

When i went there.
My favorite is the island of Kauai, but everyone is different. I like Kauai because it is the most tropical, does not have high rises, is less populated, thus less crowds, and is not like a city with great weather. Maui is a little bit city and a little bit country and is perfect for those who want some quite time, but also want nightlife. Oahu is just like any big city except the weather and beaches make it great. But it is crowded, noisy, and has tons of people everywhere. The big island is, well really big but not very tropical looking. You will see volcanic rocks everywhere. The palm trees and all the lush foliage is actually flown in from elsewhere.

we just went last week (first time there) and we ended up with a cool vacation because we flew to Honolulu and then caught a cruise ship that traveled around to 4 different islands during a 7 day excursion. NCL and the name of the boat is Pride of America. It was great — and a nice way to get introduced to so many different aspects of Hawaii.
best beaches — Maui
best island (for us) — Kauai — it’s where we’ll spend the whole time next trip.
best snorkeling — on south side of big island
best museums — oahu
best moment — sailing at night past the lava flows on big island. wow! you can hire a small boat tour to see that — unique and impressive!
needless to say, you have LOTS of options. any of the islands will be a nice choice, you can’t go wrong…unless you don’t go at all. enjoy, aloha!
