My best friend Meryl and I on our first ever whale watching adventure tour in Long Beach, California. We were fortunate enough to spot two gray whales, a mother and her calf, making their way back to the waters of Alaska for some yummy food. One less thing on the bucket list :] I recommend going on a whale watching tour for sure!! I’m going the last week of May and I would like to know if Whale Watching is a convenient activity or if I should trade it off for Bear Watching.

I’m not sure where in the state you are going, but whales will probably be easier to spot than bears in May. The salmon do not spawn the fresh water until June. This is when the bears come out in large numbers. In south east, you will definitely see both whales and bear; even in May. Cook Inlet/Turnigan Arm there is fewer sightings.

Im just gonna be the odd one and say Federal Prison. Cant have ma bit ches in Hawaii.
