Thar She Blows!! Whale Watching in Long Beach

My best friend Meryl and I on our first ever whale watching adventure tour in Long Beach, California. We were fortunate enough to spot two gray whales, a mother and her calf, making their way back to the waters of Alaska for some yummy food. One less thing on the bucket list :] I recommend going on a whale watching tour for sure!! The aquarium also exhibits sea birds including penguins, and giant kelp from California, US. The facility sits on the beach of Tokyo Bay and could be reached in half an hour by train from Tokyo station.

Sea Life Park & Waikiki Aquarium – Hawaii (1996)
The Waikiki Aquarium, founded in 1904, is the third oldest public aquarium in the United States. A part of the University of Hawaii since 1919, the Aquarium is located next to a living reef on the Waikiki shoreline.
Waikiki Aquarium visitors can see an amazing variety of marine life from the tropical Pacific and Hawaii. Home to over 2,500 animals representing more than 420 species, the Aquarium is especially proud of its reputation of excellence in coral reef exhibitry. When you come to the Aquarium, you can get up-close views of reef sharks, living corals, endangered Hawaiian monk seals, graceful sea jellies, myriads of colorful reef fish, and much, much more.
