Ancient Lava Tube Exits Over the Water (Big Island, Hawaii)

We had a very unique experience on The Big Island’s southwestern shore. Hiking south along the coastal trail from Pu’uhonua o Hōnaunau, we found the lava tube mentioned in our guidebook. It was a tough crawl through the center of it, but once we reached the end, we had a unique perch.
The lava tube ends abruptly over the water. It was about 20 feet or so down to the water. And the water looked deep enough for us to jump. However, we did not indulge.
While we stood there snapping some photos and taping our experience, a small tour boat came along and slipped into a cave below us.

Great CW fish tunes here from the band The Dorados.
After that Bob opens a segment on speed wind surfing on the ocean off Maui with pro boarder Chip Pennel who we fitted with a full blown helmet cam package for some super clean POV shots Xcorps style. See the action and hear the music by the Maverick records band Prodigy pumping this fast moving piece.
Then it’s back to Bob this time on the island of Kauai riding ATVs — thats all terrain vehicles- at his own speed — FAST! Check out the action and great scenery here with Bob cruising areas where the feature films Jurassic Park 1&2 were filmed. Lots of mud flying with new tunes from San Diego band UNDERshade. Rolling in after that Roz opens to Eric The X Guru and a special segment on the action sport of mountain boarding or off road skate boarding. Eric is an authority covering the sport since it surfaced almost 10 years ago. Check out Erics own moves and shots from past events including that of XC host Jason Lazo with the first mtn. board the SuperCruizer.
Appropriately the band Unloco rocks this segment hard to the end.
Topping off this eXotic island visit is a look at some true Hawaiian action from Iffy who is a champion fire dancer. See his fiery moves and watch the sexy island girls perform to the authentic island band Paradyse playing at the Wailea Marriott luau.
Tough job Bob wraps the show from Waikiki beach boarding Outriggers world class race catamaran for a sunset wave run.

Hawaii Big Island Tour
Cruising the Big Island. Some shots from North Kohala, Waipio, Kona, Hilo, Puna, and Kilauea. We swam with turtles, saw dolphins from the beach, and flew over a gas and lava spewing volcano. All in five days. There’s also a few shots from Honolulu – Waikiki, you should check out Dukes in the Outrigger if you get a chance. A reasonably priced burger, and a setting you just can’t beat…

Hawai’i, Episode 1: 1st week in Hawai’i
We moved away from everyone/thing we knew and want to share our lives and what we see with family and friends. We made the long move from Austin TX to Kailua-Kona HI. This video is our first week in town.
NOTE: music removed by youtube and they have removed the option to mute the video, instead they force you to choose something from their very sad music library. music used to be Regina Spektor-Us. Also, the tour at the end can not be heard due to the replaced audio track. sorry for the change in video. this mainly sucks because now this video with the horrible audio swap track is the only existing version of episode 1, thanks youtube you jerks!

Hiking Trails and Beaches of Kaloko, Big Island Hawaii
A thriving Hawai’ian community out here in the middle of the desert? At Honokohau, ancient Hawai’ians took advantage of abundant freshwater springs to site a large community centered around fishing, fishponds and taro fields. The National Historic Park preserves a vast complex of important archeological sites, including heiaus, fishponds, a fishtrap, house sites, burials, a holua (sledding track), a Queen s Bath and abundant petroglyphs. An information center and bookshop is located between the two access roads off the highway and the best place to start any exploration of the National Park. As a beach, Ai’iopio Beach is one of Kona s finest, most protected and fun places to swim. Abundant shade along a long wide beach and a protected reach make this is perfect to take children though the water is a little murky for ideal snorkeling.
